This page is waiting to be filled by the Grid connected Projects in Solar. At a moment it is empty. The reason is that the Government of Georgia cannot make up it’s mind on support programs. To be exact, Ministry of Finance is not giving a chance to Ministry of Sustainable Development and GEDF to announce the Solar Tender with Tariff of enough cents per Watt to make a Financial model of the Project workable. And there is a 130 MW pool of projects in 2020 and up to 520 MW by 2030 that waits for it’s fate.
Georgia has a lot of Sun. It is also a member state of IRENA. But so far this does not matter much.
We will continue our effort to explain to officials that Solar needs a clear support program. And together with our Partners we will initiate and Develop Grid connected Solar Projects.
